Barbara Holguin joins Great Plains Restoration Council from Harris County Criminal Community Supervision, where she worked for five years as a Bilingual Supervision Officer. Before that, she worked with offenders recently released from prison as a District Parole Officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. She anticipates receipt of her Master?s Degree in Sociology in Fall of 2010 from the University of Houston- Clear Lake, in an effort to better understand Human Behavior in offenders. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Behavioral Science/ Criminal Justice, from the University of Houston- Clear Lake.

She has the following certifications: CSO (Casework Certification), LSIR (Level of Service Inventory) type of assessment to evaluate needs of client, NCIC/TCIC certified (law enforcement access), MI trained (Motivational Interviewing), Cultural Awareness training, POTA (Parole Officer Training).
