Conservation buyers are needed to join our pool of wildland philanthropists interested in purchasing outright acquisitions or conservation easements. Please contact staff at GPRC headquarters in Fort Worth. Currently, some very ecologically important ranches are available in key target prairie/plains areas.
For example, in South Dakota there is a very strategically located ranch with good water that we need to acquire and protect in order to help bridge and secure a much larger ecological area. Cost: $4 million. Please contact GPRC for more information.
In Colorado, conservation buyers can assist in further consolidating and expanding Soapstone/Red Mountain.
And in Texas, we must not only raise outright fee simple acquisition funds to protect 2,000 acres of critically endangered virgin tallgrass prairie near Fort Worth, but can more than double the size of our Rolling Plains/Canyons ecosystem preserve in West Texas if we purchase key conservation easements or acquisitions from adjacent landowners who are willing to participate right now.
