The North Face has awarded a $2500 grant to GPRC to help children and families explore the rare Fort Worth Prairie. Plains Youth InterACTION engages our most disadvantaged children in discovering the values of leadership and personal responsibility for their own health, their life’s direction and their environment. They “heal themselves through healing the Earth (the prairie).” GPRC was selected from hundreds of applications because of our dedication to serving our youth and protecting our prairie earth.  In the first of two grant cycles in 2011, The North Face awarded $125,000 Explore Fund grants to 52 projects helping more than 30,000 kids to connect to nature.
