Volunteer Opportunities

We all can help. Everybody can do something.

GPRC needs your help in expanding all aspects of its operations. What can you do? What would you like to do? We have the need for a wide array of professional skills as well as general volunteer support, neighborhood canvassing, social networking, and much more. This is a movement for everybody, and each of us can contribute something. If you can contribute some time and services that can help further the work, raise awareness, and raise financial support, please contact GPRC at 817-838-9022. For details, please see below. Thank you!

GPRC Volunteer Opportunities

We particularly need people to support GPRC through their own social networking circles. Through a friends group, giving circle, MySpace, FaceBook, neighborhood association, etc, you can help raise money and awareness that will allow GPRC to protect and or restore specific areas of America's damaged Prairies and Plains and advance on-the-ground Ecological Health education of youth. The more people who get together and get involved, the more endangered prairies we can restore and rebuild, the more animals, birds, plants and carbon we will save, the more youth who will be able to develop the Ecological Health skills and tools they need to become the new leaders. People support political campaigns with copious amounts of cash. For that same amount, you can buy immediate, tangible, and measurable improvement in America – results you can see taking shape immediately.

We also need:

And a lot more. Just about any professional service can be put to work.

Equipment:

We also need a lot of tools, restoration equipment (chain saws, work trucks, shovels, rakes, fencing and posts, safety equipment,) large amounts of locally-appropriate native grass and forb seed, a portable shed, two 15 passenger vans (preferably with good fuel economy), a new handicapped-accessible concrete ramp for the Thunder Valley Community House and Headquarters in South Dakota, new computer equipment and software (especially Apple),

and more.
